Lead Pastors Jeremy & Michelle Austill

Before becoming Lead Pastor of Cornerstone, Pastor Jeremy served in the role of District Youth Director for the Tennessee Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God. Prior to this he served in the body of Christ for nearly two decades as youth pastor, evangelist, and church planter in places like Tullahoma and Cleveland, Tennessee and Beaumont, Texas. He also spent a few years as a team member of a ministry in Hamilton, Alabama known as The Ramp. Although he has functioned in various assignments, his focus and passion has remained consistent—to lead people into a genuine encounter with the life-changing power of Holy Spirit, engage them with the person of Jesus and call them into their rightful place as sons and daughters of a loving Father. Jeremy and his wife of over twenty years, Michelle, and their two beautiful, Jesus-loving children live in Hendersonville, Tennessee

Chase Courtney

Executive Pastor

Chase is a born and raised Texas kid. After high school, he left Beaumont, TX to attend Lee University in Cleveland, TN. While serving in a college ministry during that time, he felt the call of God on his life for vocational ministry. In 2007, he graduated college and started his first assignment as a youth pastor. Over the past 16 years, he and his wife have been able to pastor students and their families at three different churches. Chase currently serves as an Executive Pastor at Cornerstone Nashville, overseeing our Kingdom Builders Ministry (Outreach/Missions).

Chase met his wife Ashley at college and they have two young kids, Elijah and Laney, who keep them busy. In his free time, he loves sports and traveling. Chase is also proud to root for the best baseball team, the Houston Astros.

Chad Browning

Christian Life Pastor

Chad Browning began attending Cornerstone Nashville in 1999 and has served in many different ministries at Cornerstone. His calling is clear, which is to equip believers for the work of ministry and to help them become mature disciples of Jesus. Chad serves by helping people get connected in a Life Group here at Cornerstone Nashville. If you want to make good friends, become a better person, and make a difference, then Chad can help you take that next step.

Chad met his wife Rachel at Cornerstone, and they have two amazing teenagers named Jude and Sloane. He loves spending time with his family, watching Lakers basketball, Alabama football, and reading non-fiction.

Herb Hardcastle

First Impressions Pastor

Herb Hardcastle grew up in Franklin, KY. Herb graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Cumberland University in 1996 and played baseball under Coach Woody Hunt. Herb first visited the Cornerstone campus by attending a Dave Ramsey Seminar in 2001. After talking about returning during a regular Sunday church service, Herb finally visited Cornerstone Nashville in May of 2004, and knew that he was home as soon as he pulled into the parking lot. Never in his life had he experienced such a loving and welcoming church. Herb served in various ministries while attending Cornerstone for six years before being called to help launch Cornerstone’s Bowling Green, Kentucky, satellite campus. Herb served in and helped lead the First Impressions ministry at the Bowling Green campus which is now a church plant named CenterPointe Church. Herb joined the staff at Cornerstone Nashville in August of 2015. He is excited and honored to be able to serve the people of Cornerstone Church and looks forward to God’s awesome plan moving forward.

Jesca Johnson

Associate Children’s Pastor

Jesca grew up in Memphis, TN and then attended Central Bible College in Springfield, MO. In 2009, she graduated with a degree in Music and a minor in Biblical Studies and Communications/Media. In November of 2011, she moved to Nashville, TN and started work at Cornerstone Nashville. Jesca currently serves as the Associate Children’s Pastor for our Preschool-aged children and their families.

Kelley Cantrell

Associate Children's Pastor

Kelley grew up in Nashville, TN and spent many years in corporate leadership, specializing in training, developing, and mentoring business leaders all over the United States.

In 2004, God led her to Cornerstone, and she knew from the time she stepped foot on the property that this was where she was meant to be.This was a place of love and discipleship; it was HOME.

Kelley has always had a heart to teach and lead the younger generation to the knowledge and love of Christ, because it is the knowledge of His great love that will truly change the world! Since 2005, Kelley has had the privilege of serving in multiple areas in Children’s Ministry and currently serves as the Associate Children’s Pastor for the 1st through 5th grade children.

Danny Johnson

Associate Pastor for Counseling & Outreach Center

Danny Johnson was born and raised in the Big Sky Country of Montana where he graduated from High School and attended Montana State University. After sensing the call of God on his life, he attended Rhema Bible School in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, graduating in 1985. His next step was to serve as a Youth Pastor in Algood, Tennessee, for 16 exciting years. The move to Nashville came in August, 2006, when he joined the team at Cornerstone. Danny has a passion to minister the Word of God and see lives changed. In his free time, he enjoys running for miles on country roads.

Joe Mutter

Executive Pastor::Finances

Pastor Joe has served on the staff of Cornerstone since 2005 and brings over 30 years of sales, marketing and business experience. He has developed, owned and operated family entertainment centers nationwide.

He began attending Cornerstone in 2002 after hearing Pastor Davis’ testimony. The miracle that God had performed in Pastor Davis, so touched his life that he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, so he could attend church at Cornerstone.

Pastor Joe served as Children’s Pastor for six years, Chief Special Projects Officer for four years and now serves as the Executive Pastor of Finances.

John Michael Sullivan

Children's Pastor

John Michael Sullivan is the Lead Children’s Pastor at Cornerstone Nashville. He graduated from Evangel University in 2011 and has been in full-time ministry for 8 years. In ministry, his goals are to continually connect with families, equip his leadership team for success, and create an atmosphere for spiritual growth within every child.

Curtis Wall

Youth Pastor

Pastor Curtis serves as the Youth Pastor for C|YTH. Curtis was born and raised in Covington, Tennessee. At eight years old he felt a call to ministry over his life. Curtis spent two years at Lee University studying Pastoral Ministry and finished his education in Cookeville, Tennesse at SUM Bible College. Curtis graduated college with a bachelor’s degree in The Five Fold Ministry. He started full-time ministry as a youth pastor in March 2020 and has been in that role ever since. Curtis has a passion for seeing Generation Z marked by the presence of God and seeing revival come to this generation. Curtis married Raina on September 24, 2022. Today they both serve in ministry together. Go Gators!

AT Gatlin

Young Adults Pastor

Antonio Gatlin, or more recognizably known as A.T., is a Memphis native. His story is a testament to the faithfulness of the Lord with him being a devout atheist for more than half of his life. He was set free at a Camp Jackson in the summer of 2014. In 2015, A.T. was  called  to preach the Gospel with passion and to pioneer the next generation to Jesus. He is a graduate of SUM Bible College and Theological Seminary , with a degree in Biblical Studies & Pastoral Ministry with an emphasis in FiveFold. His desire is to see Generation Z be raised up to encounter and reflect Jesus and to walk in the fullness of divine identity, kingdom purpose, and authentic anointing.

Jonathan Utley

Communications Director

Jonathan became part of the team in 2021. With 10+ years of experience in media, production, and narrative story-telling, he brings a passion to take church media and communications to a different level. The mainstay of his ethos revolves around one word: Faith. He believes that through unwavering faith, not in self, but in Christ, that a generation of hearts can be moved towards the local church and towards faith in Christ.
